For the Twitter People Get More Followers!

The other day I was thinking up ways to build up my twitter followers list. Since my twitter is only a few weeks old I can’t expect it to grow unless I promote it.

The idea I had was to create a twitter business card. This card will only have very basic info and the only contact information would be my twitter address.

Since I can get free business cards online I will try this out with my free card s.

Give it a try let’s see if more people will follow with just a reminder business card.

Ubuntu Linux On Mother In Laws Computer

There is one thing I like and that is FREE STUFF. A few weeks ago my mother in law was given an old computer with Windows 98 on it. Since I am the computer guru in the family, I went over and took a look at this old beast the computer not the mother in law. The computer was fast enough to handle a Linux distro and I thought I would try Ubuntu Linux which is 100% free. This worked out well and the computer worked without a hitch. The nice thing about Linux is that everything you need is include. You get a web browser (Firefox) and Open Office the alternative to Microsoft Office. This is a perfect solution for an older computer and to install on an older persons system who only need the basics. In the past I have saved a few older computers with Linux. Also ran a business form an old computer while I was shopping for a new Apple iMac. If you have an old computer sitting around why not try to install some sort of Linux on it and get more use out of your old hardware.
