This post was created using Google docs for Android on a Galaxy S smartphone. As I explore my options for creating content on the go this seemed like a great solution and it’s free.

The Google Docs service is also cloud based which means I can work on my document back on my home computer without messing with disc swaps or bluetooth transfers. The creation of a doc on my smartphone was just like typing a text message.

The editing of the document through the google app was limited. There was no way of bolding or editing the text format. The document was going to end up my home computer anyway, and I can edit quickly through the full Google doc web site. As a quick and simple method for creating documents on the go I would say this is a great solution.

The Google Docs app is going to get much use this summer as I travel. This would be a great app to add to the cheap Android tablets as the screen size would be a better experience for touch typing. As I use this app more and more it has started to grow on me, I do think I can get many projects completed with Google docs. If you have an Android phone then make sure to download the Google doc app and you will have a great office suite for free on your smartphone or tablet.

If Google could just add spell check and the ability to format text then you would not need to do a final edit on your computer. There are a few other office suite products for Android that cost from $8.00 to $15.00 that might have a few more features, but aI guess if you can live without the fancy extras you can get a lot done with Google docs and the best part is that it is free.

As I spend more time on the go and not sitting in front of my computer I needed to find some mobile solutions. If I could turn my down time when I am on the go or just sitting at a Starbucks in to something productive it would add to my income. As most of the work I do is content creation for my various web sites and blogs it would work out well if I could get more done.

The challenge when I am on the go is having the right tools. In the past I have used a good old fashion notepad and just written down my thought to edit later when I get to a computer. The use of a notebook is a great way to organize ideas, but then I have to enter my work into the computer to post online.

What I would like is to use my Smartphone for writing and then edit on my computer at home when I get a chance. If half the work is inputted then it would be easier to make changes and get my content posted to my sites.

There are many solutions for word processor or office suite products for my Android phone. Now all I need is to get the right program and my ideal scenario would allow me to write on the go.

With so many tools available on my Smartphone I know I could be doing more with this technology.

My first attempt at going mobile and getting more done will start next week. The first step is to create a to do list and then start completing the task that I have set for myself. If I can organize myself first then I will have better grasp of what I need to do.

Once I get into the flow of working on my Smartphone I will start using it more and in time I think this will increase my productivity and income.

  • Fanbox Share Get Paid Virtual PC Site

There is a new social sharing site called FanBox that a friend of mine invited me to join. This site is a little different then most social media sites as it acts as a virtual PC. When you log into FanBox you bring up an interface that looks like Windows 7 and has the ability to add apps or use the ones already included. The only app I tested was the word processor which did have a very nice clean look. The virtual PC did take a little long to load and I can see it being a problem for people with netbooks. As more people move into the cloud this type of site can be a great way to get work done from any computer that you might have access. There have been a few other similar projects, but none have gathered much of a following. It is nice to work from any browser and not have to have software download on the computer that you are using. The FanBox site also has a few unique features such as getting paid for sharing your photos music and videos. You get paid by the minute from people enjoying your shared content. The site also lets you cash out and give your income to charity or keep it for your self. Since I did not have much time to play with this site I will need to create a profile and explore the features a little further. This site reminds me of RedGage which also pays for content. If you want a virtual PC that you can work with from any browser or want to get paid for sharing your content then try out FanBox it free to join and it does look like it might be a worthy site to use for your make money online business.

With more and more gadgets fitting into our mobile lifestyle working from anywhere is no longer a dream. If you have an online business you can take your office anywhere you want. With iPhones Blackberrys and the new netbooks you can almost do any type of online work. This post for an example is being writen at Starbucks on my Asus eeePC a small little laptop that has every program I need to make money on the go. No longer do you need to waste time when you are away from your home office. The goal of this post is to have you think about what little jobs you can get done while you are on the go, and I also have a challenge. Would you be able to work a week with only your mobile gadgets. If you are up for the challenge try working for a week only while away from home. In the first few weeks of January I will add a post about this topic which you can leave a comment about your experiences and challenges getting work done on the go.
