Content Web Sites for Money
View Comments
February 25th, 2011Working From HomeOver the last few months I have been creating content based web sites and refreshing my older sites. As I move away from ppc I want to build sites that can rank based on great content. Getting these sites updated with content is time consuming, but it will be well worth it over time.
The way I have organized my effort is to place sites in order of priority. There are sites that need to be updated daily and these are the sites I need to spend the most time working on. Then I have sites like this one that get updates as I have time to write. The last type of sites I have are the ones that take very little effort. These sites just need content updated if there are major changes to the information.
When I set time aside for writing I try to do it late I night. Then I get into the mood with a little research on the topic that I am writing about. As I collect ideas and form my own thoughts I write everything down in a notebook. Once I have enough ideas and a general outline of what I am going to write about I fire up the laptop and start writing in Word.
When I am writing I do not think of the post making money I just want to provide great content that can teach and improve people’s lives. If I can influence people in a positive way with my writing then that is reward enough. If a site makes money then I consider this a reward for a job well done. It’s not about writing to make money it’s about writing for your readers and meeting their needs. If you write with a passion readers know that and take your work serious. If you show a passion for your work readers will return and tell others about your site.
As I have so many sites to update I have used paid writers to gain fresh new content. This has worked well to get new content and to help me fill in the void. If you keep your sites fresh and updated you will be rewarded by the search engines and that’s money in your pocket.

Make Money With Groupons
View Comments
February 10th, 2011Make Money From Home, Working From HomeThe rise of group buying has created a little niche for making money online. Once in awhile there are deals on Groupons for real goods or discounts on the purchase of a certain amount of money. If you can get deal for example where you can buy $50.00 for $25.00 then you can use it to buy goods to resell.
This would work out well at stores where you can buy items that are in demand. I tried this with a local hardware store where I bought a power tool. Then I listed the tool on Craigslist and sold it for a profit.
Next time you are on Groupons look for these types of deals and take advantage of the deal to make some extra money.

RedGage Social Content Sharing

December 1st, 2010Make Money From Home, Working From Home
The RedGage web site is another online community that pays you for creating content. The site has been around for a little over a year now and it is very simple to get started. Once you create an account you are encouraged to share your content and earn money. You will be paid by Visa gift cards when you reach the $25 mark. You can also earn bonus money for getting your content promoted to the front page. If you find content you like on RedGage you can rate it and communicate with the person who submitted. There are many aspects of RedGage I like and it’s a great way to share your content in a very social manner. You can also make new friends using RedGage.
When people look at your content you earn money. This site site won’t make you rich, but it’s nice to have a place to share your content and even promote your sites. The content that I like sharing the most on RedGage is pictures. If you enjoy taking pictures then this is a great site to share your images online.
The RedGage website does not have a large audience, but I think it is growing and as more people become aware this site has great potential.

Fanbox Share Get Paid Virtual PC Site
View Comments
November 7th, 2010Free Stuff, Make Money From Home, Social Media, Working From Home, Working On The Go
There is a new social sharing site called FanBox that a friend of mine invited me to join. This site is a little different then most social media sites as it acts as a virtual PC. When you log into FanBox you bring up an interface that looks like Windows 7 and has the ability to add apps or use the ones already included. The only app I tested was the word processor which did have a very nice clean look. The virtual PC did take a little long to load and I can see it being a problem for people with netbooks. As more people move into the cloud this type of site can be a great way to get work done from any computer that you might have access. There have been a few other similar projects, but none have gathered much of a following. It is nice to work from any browser and not have to have software download on the computer that you are using. The FanBox site also has a few unique features such as getting paid for sharing your photos music and videos. You get paid by the minute from people enjoying your shared content. The site also lets you cash out and give your income to charity or keep it for your self. Since I did not have much time to play with this site I will need to create a profile and explore the features a little further. This site reminds me of RedGage which also pays for content. If you want a virtual PC that you can work with from any browser or want to get paid for sharing your content then try out FanBox it free to join and it does look like it might be a worthy site to use for your make money online business.Tags: FanBox Review -
Marketing Information Products Online
View Comments
May 31st, 2010Working From HomeThere is a huge potential for making money online selling information products. The nice thing about selling information products is that you’re helping to solve a problem. Everyday millions use Google to solve some sort of problem. Now wouldn’t you like to get some of these searches to your web site? If you can track down some information products or create your own then it’s time to cash in. There are many digital download products that sell very well. People will pay for information that solves their problems. This is why you want to find a niche that you have a chance to dominate. It’s not hard to look around and get an idea of what people are looking solve. One method I like to use is listening to call in radio shows. If you listen you will find people asking for specific information. With a little research you can be the only one who has a detailed site selling the solution. If you can find a problem with a large enough audience then you can turn visitors into paying customers.
The site you create will have to provide information on the topic you are marketing. You should have enough information to make your site seem like an authority. Once your visitor realizes that you seem to know what you are talking about then it’s time to pitch a sale. You want the visitor to be asking all sorts of questions down your sales funnel. As they seem to be getting closer to their answer the pitch comes in. If you have done your job properly the user will convert to a sale. They want this information and will pay for it. With information products I like to build sites that get organic traffic. It’s better to create a site that is getting search engine traffic and brining in highly targeted users. If you set up a quality site Google and other search engines will reward your hard work.
In the past I found that creating a PPC campaign for information product sites brought in to many tire kickers. These were people that wanted the answer and did not want to pay for the solution. In my information product marketing test I had much better results with just natural traffic and very small amount of PPC adverting. You can try a PPC campaign at the launch of your site. This will help you make sure that users are reading and clicking thorough to the sales pages. Once you have a site that can convert just leave it to natural traffic unless you have discovered that your PPC campaign is providing a good rate of return. As long as your campaign is profitable keep PPC traffic on and monitor the traffic, but at some point you want to be getting traffic from as much natural searches as possible.
There is a great amount of money to be made from selling information products. In my tests my results have been mixed, but I am sure if I worked at building the best quality site my income would go up.
You can find many products to sell by doing a search for digital products and then joining the affiliate programs.Tags: mareting information products -
Alternatives to Paypal Yeah Alert Pay
View Comments
April 21st, 2010Make Money From Home, Working From HomeIf you sell online then you know that using Paypal can be expensive. The fee’s you pay to Paypal can cut into your profit margin. The other negative thing about Paypal is getting your account frozen. If you sell a lot online then you need a back up payment system. The alternative that I am using on one of my sites is called Alert Pay. This company is located in Canada and getting an account set up is quick and easy. If you want to accept credit cards on your site then you are going to need to get manually approved by Alert Pay. Other then the credit card set up time for the site everything else works like Paypal. Your customers can use the buy now button to make payment or you can request money by email.
The challenge is to get customers to trust this payment method. Many people have not heard of Alert Pay and might not bother to create and account when they check out of your store. You need to clearly mention on your site that you use Alert Pay and that they are 100% secure method of payment. Once the customer pays for the item the money shows up in your account. If you have a new account there might be a hold for about 10 businesses days. As I write this I have just completed the first part of the verification process and should have full control of the account in the next week. With so many shady things happening online Alert Pay wants to make sure that they know whom they are dealing with. As I change all my payment links on my site to Alert Pay I will have to send some traffic over to my site.
Once I have enough traffic I can compare the conversion against Paypal. It might take a few changes to the page to get back the normal level of conversion, but that is part of making money online. If I have to rate Alert Pay in this review I would give them an A+ for effort. The Alert Pay site is a gem to work with and getting the buttons on my site was not more effort then with Paypal. Overall I am very happy with this alternative to Paypal and hope to use them for more online payment processing on new sites I am working on. If you want to try Alert Pay it’s free to create an account and you can fund your account as easily as with Paypal.

My Story

November 25th, 2009Make Money From Home, Online Business, Working From Home
Not a lot about me has been shared through my blog. As a make money online blog, I try to stick to the topic at hand. The reason most visitors come to my site is to learn how to make money through the Internet. The Internet has been an amazing way for me to make money and I love sharing new ideas with the readers. If you read my posts I can not promise I will make you a millionaire heck I am still working on that myself. What I can do is teach people how to make enough money to cover bills and maybe even replace their income. The great thing about the Internet is that there is so much opportunity. Every so often I look at starting an offline business maybe a franchise.
Then I see the start up cost and it just makes me love the Internet even more. With very little money anyone can set up a small business online. You can reach so many people and spend very little to do so. My blog Vendingmatic is about my journey to make money online and my growth as an Internet Marketer.
If I can do this I believe anyone can do it or at least give it a try. If you go through the archive you will find many ideas that you can use to start making money. You just need to take action. As I work on the next chapter of Vendingmatic.info I plan on sharing more detail on how I got started and where I want to go next.
The best part is having loyal readers that will follow me on Twitter or through the blog and I can be part of the learning process. What I learned from others I like to share and give back. It really is about karma and what you put out. Let’s make 2010 a great year for all of us who believe in making money online and hope you will gain knowledge and be motivated to take action.

Diversify Your Online Business
View Comments
October 22nd, 2009Google, Working From HomeOne thing I learned very early on with doing business online is to diversify. What I mean by diversify is to have more then one source of income online. If you do any affiliate marketing, then make sure the offers you run are available on more then one network. If for some reason an offer is pulled on one network then you have it on another network and do not lose your source of income. When I first started selling online I had a CD shop. All I sold was CD’s and this was fine for awhile, then Napster happened. You know what that did to my CD shop it almost put me out of business. Luckily this happened at the same time the DVD’s were taking of and I was able to move my business in that direction. As the trend for DVD’s died out I got into other items to sell online and realized that if you do not have more sources you can be out of business very quickly. Now when I set up a business I know the risk and I try to have more then one source of income. If something happens to one source I have a few more to make money online. If you follow the old saying don’t keep all your eggs in one basket you should do well online. Try to reach out to new sources of income, study trends and be ready to move when opportunity comes along. You do not want to miss new sources of income keep you a journal write down any ideas that come to mind. You want to get more back up plans ready to go as some of your businesses experience decline. If you follow this and make it a habit to have back up sources of income will not be without income when one of your business slows down or dies out.
