Love My YouTube
View Comments
The YouTube web site has been around for awhile now and it is credited with changing the way video content is consumed online. The site introduced web surfers to funny unique videos, but the true value of YouTube is the educational content.
If I get stuck trying to do something I check YouTube and see if anyone has created a video that can help me. The other day I was having a problem with with updating my smartphone and in a few minutes I found a video that solved my problem. If you have not used YouTube or just look for funny stuff then try using YouTube to help solve your everyday problems.
The value of YouTube when it come to finding educational content is amazing. When I am looking for reviews on products I always check YouTube for the most part the reviews are from real people with no financial gain. There are a few other sites that work like YouTube, but I find I can get the results I want from YouTube. The nice thing about YouTube is having it anywhere I go I have an app on my smartphone and even my DVD player has an app making it easy to watch content on my television. The average YouTube user might find the site a source for comedy or music clips I on the other hand find it a useful resource to run my online businesses.

Put On Your Sunday Clothes

September 7th, 2009Advertising, Cool Stuff, Random Stuff, VideosA few days ago I was watching Wall-e and the song Put On Your Sunday Clothes from the musical Hello Dolly just caught my attention. There was something about this song that made me want to find out what it was. This got me thinking how many other people might have felt the same emotion towards this song. With a quick search I found that this song from 1969 was being rediscovered by a new generation. When the makers of Wall-e add this song to the soundtrack did they know that they would get a new generation to listen to this song and want to watch Hello Dolly, was this a marketing effort. When children watch movies their parent or an older person usually watch the movie at the same time. What a great way to market content to an audience who was expecting to just watch a kids movie, and now want to go out and rent the original movie that the song was featured in. When I went through the comments on YouTube it seems many people found the song from watching Wall-e. It’s funny how a movie from 1969 is now on my list of movies to watch.
Enjoy! It’s a make you feel good song.

March 13th, 2009VideosToday I started working on a new set of videos to upload to YouTube and place on this site. When I watch video by other people on YouTube I never realized how difficult they are to make. What I mean is that every time I go to start recording the phone will ring or other interruption come along. The other thing is keeping the conversation to the point of the video. It is easy to get of topic. Well I will play around with these and edit them hope to have some online soon.
