Make Money Online Anytime!-
October 23rd, 2009Random StuffTonight I watched a new form of infomercial that aired on Canadian TV. It is run by a company called CallTV.com and they have this type of infomercial running in over 40 countries. This program is like a game show where large dollar amount can be won. The presenter puts up some sort of quiz or puzzle and then people call in on a 900 number for $1.99 a pop for a chance to answer the question. The catch is that not all callers make it to air to answer the question, yet they are still charged $1.99 just for calling in. The company that runs this program makes money on premium telephone calls most that never get answered by the host. The company either will buy air time on a local station or split the revenue. In a hour many people will call and only a few might make it on air. The amount to be made in a hour can be huge. The viewer is told about the cost up front and how the program works, but the odds of winning are very low. This company has managed to run a good scam on TV and in a legal way. If you Google Call TV scam you can see that in the UK they have many complaints. Now let me know how I can get some of this action, because it seems there is a lot of money to be made.

Tags: meaningful lifeWith the amount of time I spend online to make money I risk not having a meaningful life. On average to make money online I need to spend about 15 hours a day in front of my computer. There are days that I spend less time on the computer and I go on to do other things. With so much time spent trying to make money there is less time to spend with the family and to enjoy other activities. Don’t get me wrong I love working from home and on the computer. The computer has been part of my life since I was 6 years old and I could not live without some sort of interaction with the computer. What I need to do is take a few hours away from the computer and have some sort of balance. In order to have a meaningful life it is not all about money or work. We need to spend time with our families and enjoy the simple things in life. If you can do both make money and spend time with those you love you are working towards a better more meaningful life.

September 7th, 2009Advertising, Cool Stuff, Random Stuff, VideosA few days ago I was watching Wall-e and the song Put On Your Sunday Clothes from the musical Hello Dolly just caught my attention. There was something about this song that made me want to find out what it was. This got me thinking how many other people might have felt the same emotion towards this song. With a quick search I found that this song from 1969 was being rediscovered by a new generation. When the makers of Wall-e add this song to the soundtrack did they know that they would get a new generation to listen to this song and want to watch Hello Dolly, was this a marketing effort. When children watch movies their parent or an older person usually watch the movie at the same time. What a great way to market content to an audience who was expecting to just watch a kids movie, and now want to go out and rent the original movie that the song was featured in. When I went through the comments on YouTube it seems many people found the song from watching Wall-e. It’s funny how a movie from 1969 is now on my list of movies to watch.
Enjoy! It’s a make you feel good song.

September 4th, 2009Branding, Random StuffIt’s been a while since I last worked on the back end of vendingmatic.info and it was about time for a change. The changes started with a new template which I find makes reading easier on the eyes. There is also the addition of video and Twitter updates. The video box will allow me to add my own video content in the future. One thing I have been meaning to add was a Twitter update section. These little changes add to the experience of this blog. It’s been almost a year that this blog went up and I hope the readers appreciate my effort to provide new ideas to make money online. As I continue to grow the blog any back links would be appreciated. If you want to exchange links just leave a comment and I will respond as soon as possible. Let me know what you think of the new changes and if there is anything I could make better.

August 29th, 2009Online Business, Random StuffThe last few months a few famous people passed away and their Twitter account lived on. It just made me think how much stuff I have online and no one would know what to do with my accounts. In the case of Twitter your last update will stay online forever marking a time or place just before your death. It is morbid to think about, but technology has just created a situation that family members or friends would not know how to deal with. It would be a good idea to put all your online information in a note book and keep it in a safe place. In case something does happen you know your family can either delete an account or take care of the account. If you are an affiliate marketer you might still be getting paid a long time after your gone. Not to bring anyone down, but your online business should be treated as any other business and you need to have a plan for when you are no longer able to run the business.

July 22nd, 2009Online Business, Random StuffThere are many reasons why pre paid credit cards make sense for business. The other day I went into my Paypal account and saw a charge for over $100 that I did not want to be placed through this method of payment. It was an automatic charge for web hosting.
Apply today for a Prepaid Visa RushCard!
The Paypal account was low on funds and the money was taken from my bank account. Here is the problem the bank account is only used to pay bills. The extra funds taken out would cause this account to bounce when the regular payment were to be taken out. The web site hosting company did not make it clear that I would have the funds taken from Paypal without approval; I guess I missed this in the fine print. This made me think how important it is to use a source of payment that is limited to a small amount or nothing at all. It is also much easier to get rid of a pre paid card then a bank account or Paypal. With a bank account it would be a major problem if I had to cancel the account and make new arrangements with my trusted list of payees like my car insurance company. In order to protect your self online I have said this before get a pre paid credit card and use it for everything that can have any possibilities of recharging or miss using the information. This way you are protected and save yourself much grief.
RushCard – You set the limit by the amount of money you add to the card. Apply today!

The news has come out about Steve Jobs founder and CEO of Apple Computers recent liver transplant. It looks like Steve Jobs had a transplant about two months ago in Tennessee. The waiting list for donors is considerably shorter in Tennessee. If this transplant was a result of his previous fight with cancer, getting a transplant is good news. As a transplant on patients with metastatic cancer that has spread outside the liver, would not be performed. If you look at all Steve Jobs has accomplished in his life the world is a better place for his innovations. Anyone who uses Apple computers or an iPod has already felt how grateful they are to Apple and Steve Jobs for bringing out such advance products that work. Let’s hope that his surgery went well and that we will have Steve Jobs back at Apple to innovate the next amazing thing. -

Is it just me or do you find Oprah interviews by Skype to be annoying. At first it stated with just a few interviews that seemed as a good idea to be connected with Skype. Then it started to look like Oprah was getting paid to Skype. The truth is Oprah is getting paid to Skype. You would think that a quality show like the Oprah show would rather have better video quality and sound. The way it looks now is that the Oprah show rather see the money from eBay’s Skype service. Well let’s see if Oprah get’s over using Skype and moves on to Twitter. Here is here first Twitter message “HI TWITTERS . THANK YOU FOR A WARM WELCOME. FEELING REALLY 21st CENTURY.”

April 21st, 2009Branding, Random Stuff, Web HostingA few days ago I started to notice that a site that had done very well for me was not getting and sales. It had been a big producer and I know that pattern for the last few months had been steady. When I went to my domain I noticed a message from the ISP that said this site was no longer in service. With a quick phone call I called the ISP and found out that since a used a brand name in the domain the trademark owner had claimed the domain. The point is I am not going to dispute that they legally do own the name in question, but it was part of a group of words. It also helped describe what was being sold on the site. When I got this domain I was actually surprised no one else had registered it including the trademark owner. In the end the site made a constant profit for about 6 months. The actual site can be rebuilt and re branded. The only thing is that the SEO that the site had built in the last 6 months are gone. Lesson learned is if you plan on building a site and spending time and money on it, make sure no one can just take your domain away.
