The classified web site Backpage is very similar to Craigslist. The Backpages web site has been around for less time and has a smaller community. This is not to say that you can not make money with Backpage. The good thing is that there are also less flag reporters. If you have listed on Craigslist you know how annoying it can be to have your ad flagged even tough there is nothing wrong with what you have listed.

If you live in the US then there is a Backpage for almost every major city. The site has also gained a following and is growing in the US market. As for marketers in other parts of the world you will find a very small following as many people are still not aware of this site. As a Canadian I find that Backpage has not gained too many users over the border. At this point it looks like a great site for US users who have something to sell online.

I found Backpage very easy to use and setting up a classified was just like doing it on Craigslist. If you do not need any extra features then this free classified site does a great job. As more people find out about Backpage the community will grow. Those looking for bargains might want to check out Backpages as you have less people competing to buy an item. You have a better chance to buy an item at a barging price.

This is the best time of the year to make money online with Craigslist and kijiji. Many people will be getting unwanted Christmas gifts and will be too lazy to return them or will lose the sales receipt.

This is your chance to score brand new items at low prices. The trick to this make money online tip is to buy low and sell for a profit back to the same marketplace or try eBay or Amazon. It’s been awhile since I used Craig’s List to make money online. At one point I was making $500 a month from listing stuff on Craig’s List. The magazine company that this self made millionaire created is Dennis Publishing. You might have noticed that name on your Blender magazine or Maxim. Yup Maxim, the man is very rich just on those two magazines. It’s also a fun book to read, every few pages Felix shares a poem of his, as yes his also a poet. You can find this book used for less then $12.00 on Amazon.

Many people use www.craigslist.org to buy and sell goods. It is the perfect marketplace to sell items that might cost to much to ship. If you are willing to have people come by the house and pick up an item or can meet somewhere public, then this site is for you. When you look through the ad’s there are all types of listing you might even find stuff for free. This week I sold by old bike and the guy picked it up no hassle. The craiglist page is set by the city or country that you want to find goods. If you were in New York city then just click on that city you will only see ad’s for items in this location.

This is also a good feature I recently found an item for free in another city that I visit often and then sold it on my local site. Those who have never been to craigslist find the layout very odd it looks like a web site from 1995, but the ease of use and the stuff you can do make up for the bad design. One other use for craigslist is for those who need to outsource a job, you can place an add in the local area and sometimes get great rates for the type of work you need done. In order to sell on craigs list you do not need to sign up, you just post your add and then confirm an email message to verify that you did request the listing. Try looking around it’s a great site.
