December 19th, 2009Cool Stuff
Went out Christmas shopping and was not sure what to get for a few people on my list. Started thinking what would be an item everyone enjoys and the Tassimo Coffee Maker came to mind. This is one of the most popular gifts this season and the store clerk said they keep selling out. The nice thing about the Tassimo is that it really does do a great job at making coffee house style beverages at home. The system is very easy to use and you do not need an messy filters or to clean it out. The amount of new beverages coming out for the Tassimo keep growing. Almost any type of hot beverage can be made with Tassimo. Hope the people on my list enjoy the Tassimo and if you need a great coffee maker for your home or office I think you should pick one up.Tags: Tassimo Coffee Maker -

Then I end up going back to the old theme. Going to play around with this theme for a few days and see if it works out for what I want it to do. Let me know what you think. Should I keep this theme?

Put On Your Sunday Clothes

September 7th, 2009Advertising, Cool Stuff, Random Stuff, VideosA few days ago I was watching Wall-e and the song Put On Your Sunday Clothes from the musical Hello Dolly just caught my attention. There was something about this song that made me want to find out what it was. This got me thinking how many other people might have felt the same emotion towards this song. With a quick search I found that this song from 1969 was being rediscovered by a new generation. When the makers of Wall-e add this song to the soundtrack did they know that they would get a new generation to listen to this song and want to watch Hello Dolly, was this a marketing effort. When children watch movies their parent or an older person usually watch the movie at the same time. What a great way to market content to an audience who was expecting to just watch a kids movie, and now want to go out and rent the original movie that the song was featured in. When I went through the comments on YouTube it seems many people found the song from watching Wall-e. It’s funny how a movie from 1969 is now on my list of movies to watch.
Enjoy! It’s a make you feel good song.

New Search Engine From Microsoft BING
View Comments
May 28th, 2009Cool Stuff
The late to the party Microsoft search engine team tries again. The Live search site was a clone of Google and did not provide much in terms of search results. It did it’s job, but lacked a little when compared to Google or Yahoo. With Bing Microsoft takes on Google with a fresh site with promise. The Bing search engine tries to organize your search by all related subjects. For example if you were looking for travel information for New York it would show up in Bing like a guide book. You would get flight information hotles and attractions. This is a clever feature that just might make the people at Goolge a little crazy. If you vist the site which will be going live on June 3rd you can watch a video of how their search works. The site might convert many user from Google.Tags: Bing, Microsoft -

My Sony eBook Reader
View Comments
May 5th, 2009Advertising, Affiliate Networks, Books, Cool Stuff, Free Stuff, Goal Setting, Google Adwords, Home Office, Online BusinessA few months ago I bought a Sony eBook reader. This has to be one of the coolest gadgets that I have ever bought. As an avid reader I love the fact that I can download eBooks from the Sony Store Online in seconds. This does take the joy out of visiting my local book store, but it’s so convenient.

The eBook reader cost me $279.99 at the Sony Store. The salesperson marked it down as I missed a sale a few weeks prior. The unit is solid it feels well made and it is very light weight. In comparison to a real book, you will notice the difference between the eBook Reader and for example a book like Snowball which is 800 pages long. The Sony eBook reader is not only an eBook reader, but also a picture viewer and MP3 Player. The sound from the MP3 player is fantastic one of the best players that I have ever tested. You can listen to music while you read, but the controls are a little odd. If Sony could have made a better interface to control the music while reading, I would use the MP3 player a lot more. The picture viewer is just an extra it has no real value as the picture are shown in black and white. The unit also comes in brown leather cover. The cover helps protect the screen and it looks great.

The main reason to buy this item was to read books. As an eBook reader it is amazing with a screen true to a real book. The ink technology used makes reading on the device very easy on the eyes. It’s almost like reading a real book. You might notice a little difference at first and pages take a few seconds to load, but other wise it very close to reading a real book. At present I have over 1000 eBooks loaded on the memory card (It takes SD and Memory Stick plus built in memory). The unit also includes software to connect the device to the Sony eBook Store and to transfer your files. The software is sort of like iTunes for the iPod. The software was very easy to use and I found the whole process of buying a book and uploading it to the device painless. This is a great device and if you love to read you will not be disappointed. The Amazon Kindle is also highly recommended as an eBook reader, but it was not available in Canada. Overall I am very happy with this device and look forward to reading many eBooks on it.

Garage Sale Season
View Comments
April 27th, 2009Cool Stuff, Ebay, Goal SettingThis is the time of the year people start having garage sales. If you sell on eBay this is the best source for merchandise. Many great bargains to be found. The other thing I like about garage sales is that I find books and cd’s that I wanted to buy, but not at full price. Last year I scored a good number of books that would have cost $30.00 for about $1.00 each. Look around and find out when people in your area are having garage sales you never know what you are going to find.
