Build Customer Relationships With Email Marketing

One of the easiest ways to get more sales is to build a relationship with your customers. This is a very cost effective method to increase the number of customers that convert into paying customers. If you are not collecting email addresses on your web site then you are missing out on a huge number of potential sales. There are many easy to use services to set up a pop form that asks visitors to your site for their email address. Once you have collected email address it’s time to build a relationship with the users subscribed to your newsletter. No hard sell you are building trust and providing the customer with useful information. This is why using an automated service works best for this type of marketing. You can set you first few messages to welcome the user and provide useful information. Once you have created trust then you can start to slip in a few related sales pitches. It would work best if you use soft sale skills to build interest in what you are promoting. Some of the top affiliates online use this method to make a huge amount of money each month. It takes a little practice to plan the perfect marketing campaign by email, but it can be well worth the effort. If you want to learn how it’s done then enter your email the next time you land on a page that offers a newsletter. Watch as messages arrive in your inbox with customer relationship building messages. Start to count how many messages are sent before you get a sales pitch. If you signed up to a good marketer then you will see how this system works and why so many are making money this way. The nice thing about building a list is that you will have an audience that trusts your opinion, and will take action to offers that are targeted to them. The set up for email capture is not that difficult if you understand a little HTML. You will need to place a small bit of code on your web site or blog to make the email capture form work. If you have trouble setting it up the company that you use for email marketing can install the code for you at an additional cost. It is well worth the trouble and effort to start building an email list and you will be wondering why you had not done this sooner when the money starts pouring in.

Merchandising Your Blog
View Comments
February 2nd, 2010BloggingSelling merchandise from your blog is a great way to make some extra money.
No matter what topic your blog about, there is a product you can offer your readers. If your site has a neat logo you can offer T-Shirts or other branded products. There are web sites like www.cafepress.com that can place your logo on many different items. You just need to create a shopping area on your site and place links back to Cafe Press. The nice people at Cafe Press can will make the item and ship it for you. Since each item is produced on demand you do not have to carry inventory or spend any money up front. That is the nice thing about using a site like this. You only get a product made when a customer requests it and pays for it.
Many blog owners use Cafe Press or other online service to make a little extra money on their site. This is a little different then affiliate marketing. You are encouraging your readers to support your blog and content by wanting merchandise with your brand. The merchandise is also an expression for your readers, they want people to know that they have topic they are passionate about and want to share it.
The benefit to the blog owner is not only in the money collected from each sale, you will also be getting free publicity. When someone buys an item with your brand on it a wears it in public it’s like having a free billboard walking around.
This idea is not going to make you a millionaire over night, but a few dollars here and there is always a plus.

This Blog is 6 Months Old
View Comments
April 1st, 2009Blogging, Random StuffWow 6 months have gone by and the this blog has grown by leaps and bounds. The orgiginal blog that I had hosted with GoDaddy.com on their blog platform just did not meet my needs. The platform did not allow for an changes and was not flexable at all like WordPress. The short story is I set up vendingmatic.info and moved all my contenet to this site. The old blog still stands at www.moneymyweb.com the theme is a mess and GoDaddy did not have any nice built in themes to use. If you set up a blog go with WordPress or Blogger. These are the best blog platforms in my book and they can be customized. Well let’s go hard for another 6 months. Everything I learn I want to pass it on to the readers of this blog.

Some Advice from Richard Branson
View Comments
January 8th, 2009BloggingFor those who know about Richard Branson he inspires those that want to be entrepreneurs. A few days ago I found his blog at www.virgin.co.uk and it is worth bookmarking. Here is one post on leadership that I think anyone in the regular workforce can understand and also make you want to work for your self even more.
Richard Branson’s Blog Post:
In 2004 I did a programme called The Rebel Billionaire for Fox Television, where I was nice to people and then had to whittle them down to a winner. In one episode, I told a participant we were going to be the first to go over the Victoria Falls in a barrel. Annie Taylor was the first person to conquer the Niagara Falls in Canada, riding the 170-foot drop in an airtight wooden barrel in October 1901. Since then many other daredevils have copied her achievement. But the Victoria Falls in Africa – at 360 feet – is more than twice as high, and much more dangerous, with jagged rocks at the bottom. I asked one of the contestants, Sam Heshmati, if he was ready for the challenge of going over the falls with me, in a barrel I said had been specially created by NASA.
Were we going to do this thing? Bravely, Sam nodded. We got into the barrel. A large crane lowered us into the fast-flowing river, a few metres away from the drop. A two-minute countdown began. It seemed an eternity, Five. Four. Three. Two . . .
A split second before we were due to plummet, I shouted: ‘Stop! Hold on just one moment, I want to show you something.’
So we got out. And I showed young Sam the bottom of the falls. I pointed at the rocks below.
‘Sam,’ I admonished him, ‘you were ten seconds from certain death. You shouldn’t blindly accept a leader’s advice. You’ve got to question leaders on occasions.’

Richard made me think on this one.
