When I join a new PPC network I like to test the traffic with free offers. If you are sending traffic to a free offer then you will get at least a few conversions. If the traffic is real and you get conversion on free offers, then you can try for sales that generate more commission. The first test result with my MIVA email submit campaign did not do all that well, but it was my fault. The landing page that I was using did not have a strong call to action. Once I revised the landing page and made the call of action clear the sales started to come in. This is a very important part of testing traffic. You must play around with the page and see if it helps increase sales.
With MIVA you will get many hits in a short period of time. It’s actually one of the fastest response rates I have ever seen on a PPC network. Make sure to fund your account with at least $100 to have a good test result. With MIVA traffic I also find that the offer must match the audience. When I tried beauty related products the conversion was not there. Then I changed to stuff like electronics and make money online. These types of offers did get conversions. If you try MIVA you will want to play with the offers you work with. There are many opportunities to make money online with MIVA, but you will need to do some work and test your offers and landing pages.

A few weeks ago I bought the Mac Heist Bundle. This is a bundle of software that comes out about once a year. The company that puts out the bundle shares some of the profit with charities. The nice thing about this years bundle was if they sold a certain number they would unlock the Rapid Weaver web site creation software. This is a very solid program that cost $79, but with the bundle it was only $19.99, which was a great deal. The Mac Heist bundle also had many other programs included in that price.

With all the web sites I create and landing pages, I am always looking for an easy to use programs that can help build my sites quickly. The Rapid Weaver program was not hard to work with, but it did take a little effort reading and watching videos from the company web site. Once I figured out the basics I was making web sites that looked professional. The included templates can be customized for just about any project. There are also many templates that you can buy only for Rapid Weaver, plus many plug-ins to increase the function of your web site project.

The first site I worked on was an old celebrity fan site I had forgotten about. It was about time to give this site a makeover and add new content. The first page on the site I just added regular text and placed my content. The only problem I had was setting up Google Adsense the ads never did show up on the site. When I tried placing some affiliate banners the program accepted the HTML and the banners showed up on my site. At least I was able to monetize the site with banners. Looking online for information on getting Adsense to work I was unable to find any information that would help.

At $19.99 Rapid weaver was a steal. This is a full feature program that can truly create great looking web sites. If you paid the full $79 price tag then there are many other programs to buy for the PC or Mac that have more features. Still at $79 it is one of the better web site creations programs on the Mac. Overall I would recommend this program for those who need an easy program to make web sites on the Mac, but then again the new version of iWeb has many of the feature found in Rapid weaver and it comes free with every Mac as part of iLife. It’s nice to be able to take thousands of pictures and store them on a memory card. The problem is that unlike the old days you do not have a paper copy or negatives to reprint. There is also a more likely chance that the computer will crash and take all your pictures then losing your old fashion photo albums. It pays to backup digital pictures and your memories won’t be lost for ever. The most popular way to back up photos is to store them on a CD or external drive. With a back up copy at least you have a way to get your pictures back if the computer crashes. An even better way to store pictures is with an online service like Flickr. With a back up copy of your pictures on an external media and online at least your are covered if you need to restore your pictures. Having your pictures online also allows you to share photos with friends and family.

Next time you take pictures remeber to back up and keep extra copies in a safe place. You can never get back those memories and every effort to keep them safe must be taken.

This week I took a little road trip to New York and while I was away I made money. The idea that I can make money while I am on holidays is an idea that some people can not understand. When I mention this to friends or family they do not understand that what I do runs 24 hours a day and for most part unattended. If you work for a living for someone else and go on holidays you will not get paid until your return or in some cases you have vacation pay for a certain amount of time, but if you fail to return in that time period you will not get paid. If I wanted to stay longer in New York I could and I would still make money.

This blog is about teaching people how to make money. When I mention affiliate marketing and joining a network like Market Leverage I do so to help people make money. It’s funny how many people want to be able to go on holidays and still have a source of income, but fail to take any steps.

This got me thinking that if I did not follow advice I found online many years ago I would not have this online income.

Over the years I read and researched many ideas for an online business. There were some ideas that failed and others that were great successes. If I did not take a chance and try things out I would have failed at making money online. What I hope people will learn from this post is to take a chance develop an idea.

You can make money online and trust me there are many dollars waiting for you, but you need to take action.

If you do not sell on eBay or tried before and quite try selling on eBay some of the stuff you do not want any more.

Build content web sites with Google AdSense and a mix of affiliate offers. These are all proven money makers that allow many people to earn a decent income online.

Now next time you are planning a trip are you going to have a business in place that will allow you to make money online.

If you look at people who have succeed they have gained as much knowledge as they could in their topic of interest. A method I use to gain knowledge is to read Textbooks . You might find that a little boring, but there is much to learn from text books.

The nice thing is that you can find used text books on any subject for a very low price. The poor student who had to pay for the textbook might not have even been interested in the subject, but you are going to do something with the information. Another great topic for online marketers is social studies and sociology. Learn about people find out what people desire and your business will grow. This is the magic of reading and self teaching you new ideas.

If you caught the episode of Oprah with Roger Ebert then you might have heard his new voice. After four years of not being able to use his voice due to being diagnosed with thyroid cancer. The Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Sun-Times critic appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to debut the fruit of some Scottish computer programmers’ labour, a voice that actually sounds like him. If you can imagine not having a voice a voice that was his bread and butter as a movie reviewer on television Roger has overcome his disability. With the help of his Mac Book and software he can now communicate with the world. If you have ever used a program like MacSpeech then you are familiar to the type of software that Roger Ebert is using to communicate. He is not the first to use computer speech to communicate, but he certainly is a poster boy for what technology can do for people with a speech problem. The technology that allows people speak through their computers has also gone down in price. You just need a computer and software which would run about $1200 something that was once out of reach for many. This technology has also made it easy for anyone to communicate and get work done that was once impossible. You can dictate your blog posts as you watch TV or read the newspaper. The software has improved over the years from my early start with programs like Dragon Dictate to super programs like MacSpeech. In the early days it took a very long time to teach the software to understand what you were saying and there were mixed results when speech converted to text. The new programs are almost perfect and understand more accents and pronunciation. Even my cell phone has speech recognition software. The effort of all the speech recognition programs must be noted as this technology is often forgotten or ignored even though there is so much value in what it can do.
