The Miva PPC program is a simple to use pay per click network. Like Google Adwords you create your campaign and enter your keywords. The test for this review was done over  three different campaigns. The first saw the full deposit of $35.00 burnt in less then a few hours with no sales. The only thing that the clicks brought were a few AdSense clicks on the landing page. Not a sigle user bought the product which on Google has a great conversion rate. The second test was about the same, but with less clicks as it was a niche product.  The third campaign is still running, but it also looks like it might not be doing to well.

The reviews that I have come across for Miva are mixed some people swear that they made money and got tons of great traffic. Then there are people like me that have not converted any sales on campaigns that have worked well with other ppc networks.

Let’s see how the last offer works out. If I do not make any sales then I will not use Miva for any further campaigns.

This is the time of the year people start having garage sales. If you sell on eBay this is the best source for merchandise. Many great bargains to be found. The other thing I like about garage sales is that I find books and cd’s that I wanted to buy, but not at full price. Last year I scored a good number of books that would have cost $30.00 for about $1.00 each. Look around and find out when people in your area are having garage sales you never know what you are going to find.

The month of April was not a strong month for me. The first few weeks of the month I was sick and did not get much work done. A few of my performing campaigns were dropped from the affiliate networks. With that said it’s time to have a game plan for May. I want to break all my records and I can do it. Getting some work done to have campaigns up and running. The thing about affiliate marketing and I have said this before is to get sales early in the month.

If you start with a great first week then you will not be disappionted at the end of the month. The other thing I am working on is more organic traffic. The PPC cost is sky high and eats my profits. Must try other types of advertising.

Well may May be a great month for all of us in affiliate marketing.

A few days ago I started to notice that a site that had done very well for me was not getting and sales. It had been a big producer and I know that pattern for the last few months had been steady. When I went to my domain I noticed a message from the ISP that said this site was no longer in service. With a quick phone call I called the ISP and found out that since a used a brand name in the domain the trademark owner had claimed the domain. The point is I am not going to dispute that they legally do own the name in question, but it was part of a group of words. It also helped describe what was being sold on the site. When I got this domain I was actually surprised no one else had registered it including the trademark owner. In the end the site made a constant profit for about 6 months. The actual site can be rebuilt and re branded. The only thing is that the SEO that the site had built in the last 6 months are gone. Lesson learned is if you plan on building a site and spending time and money on it, make sure no one can just take your domain away.

Working from home was a dream at one point for me. There was this fear that I would never be able to get to work from home. With a lot of hard work and constantly trying new things I was able to replace my work income and provide for myself. When I lost my full time job a year ago I did not think it was going to be easy, but I know I could do it. In the past I had other Internet business and knew the potential that was there. If you are still on the boarder line of working from home, you need to have a plan or goal set out. The fist thing you need to do is figure out how much income you need to say good-bye to the full time job.

Let’s say that you need $2000.00 a month to survive and be comfortable. You might even need less since you do not have as many expenses when you do not have to leave the house. If you set the goal at $2000.00 a month then that means $500.00 a week. Every day you need to work at your online business in order to reach your goal. It’s a great time to start in affiliate marketing. With a few quality campaigns you can be at your goal in a very short time frame. The beauty of working from home is that you do what you want to do. If you work for 8 hours then everything you make is yours. There are no bosses to give you deadlines or grief. Just you to guide your success. The best part is the freedom of being your own boss. Let me tell you my last boss was an asshole with no personality. No amount of money would make me go back to working for a dick like that. That’s why I work harder everyday on my online business then I ever did at a regular job. There is no way I want to go back to that type of environment. There are months that I made less then working at a job, but then again there have been months I made much more then what my top pay cheque was.

The last few months have been the worst since I started eBay. The sales I have been making have been for items with small margins. The good stuff just is not selling. When it come to paying my eBay fee’s at the end of the month it seems I pay more in fee’s then what I make in profit. What I might do is start moving more items into my eBay store and just keep a few active listings. This means that I can no longer count on eBay as a source of income. The affiliate programs I set up are going to be my main source of income. If anyone is in the same boat leave a comment, would like to know if others are having this problem. There are many free sites that I can target for extra sales. The free classified sections also do well. The problem with eBay is all the merchandise that you get stuck with if it does not sell. In the last few years I have managed to do better with my selection of products. If I can’t sell this stuff on eBay then I will have a garage sale in the summer to clear out some items and get back some money. In the past I have done well with garage sales as I have some unique items that people do not tend to find when they go bargain hunting. Well it looks like me and eBay might be parting ways for awhile. Sad to see the relationship end this way.
