Netbooks are hot and you need one. Last year I bought the original eee PC and at the time being the only netbook out it was amazing. This little netbook allowed me to work from anywhere and it was very light weight. The eee PC had a version of Linux on it that I quickly updated and started to add my own software. Then a few months after I bought my netbook they started to come out with Windows XP, which if you need certain software might be a better choice. The fact is I love the Linux OS on my eee PC, but sometimes there is the need for Window software. Now I am looking once again for a new netbook. The screen size should be anywhere from 10 to 12 inches. The HP and Dell model come in these sizes. Prices start at about $299.99 and up.

The ask.com search engine and Nascar have teamed up for a promotion. The truth is I am not a Nascar fan, but I noticed the ask.com car when I was at my friends house and he was watching a race. Now being the tech geek that I am that caught my attention. The ask.com search engine is a very nice site, but with Google getting all the attention sometimes people forget about them. The advertising they have done on TV has failed to make them the mainstream search engine, but I think that by teaming up with Nascar they can gain a little bit of an audience. The site is easy to use and searches are very accurate. They should get more traffic and they deserve it. Yesterday I found an email from eBay in regards to a new PPC platform that they were setting up on their site. Well boy was I excited, to reach the eBay buyers was a dream come true for any affiliate marketer. Well it did not work out the way I planned. After setting up my new account for the program and being promised $20.00 in credit to get started I set  up my first campaign. Well after all that trouble it seems the PPC campaign can only link back to my own eBay sale or store items for sale. Looking at this it seems eBay double dipping again. They are asking me to list and item and pay fees, and then pay again to have the listing show up in other areas of their site. Well I erased the campaign that I was working on and will have to revist this eBay site another day. It might work for some items I sell on eBay so I am not going to say that overall it’s that bad of an idea, but I do wish they would allow to advertise off site and conect to url’s from my other affiliate landing pages.

One of the most frustrating thins to go through as an entrepreneur is finding money to get started. This is not a reason to stop dreaming, and you can still make  your own business a reality. There is a great number of people that will help you and lend the part of the money that you need. The first step is to have a business plan as most investors will not lend any money without one. Once you have a clear business plan start by asking family and friends if they would be interested in helping you get started. If still do not have enough funding it’s time to approach investors and lending institutions. If you are going to the bank you could just start by applying for a personal line of credit this might be easier then asking for a business loan, provided that you have good credit and a source of income. The same goes for a business loan they might require to see any financial records that you have in related to the business. If you are brand new and have no records and no source of income then you will need a angel investor that believes in your vision.

A few weeks ago I bought an MP3 Player from Creative. It’s much bigger then the new Ipod Shuffle, but the Shuffle is so cool. Once again Apple has managed to come out with a very cool product. The only thing that many users might not like is the controls on the headphones. You will need to buy an adapter to use better headphones. The speech function is very cool it will tell you what song is playing and what play list you are in. There is not business purpose for me to own this item, but if you travel it is a nice little compact MP3 player.

If you have a web site and want to get more visitors then use Hub Pages. This is a free page creation web site. You can write pages on almost anything. If you are in doubt of what you can write on Hub Pages they make it clear right away when you sign up. This site is more geared at getting visitors to your main site. You do not want to plaster affiliate links as you will have your page taken down.  If you write a page about something related to your site then add a link somewhere in your article then that’s fine. You can also make money with Hub Pages as they offer a method to add your Google AdSense publisher ID and your Amazon ID. Overall I would say Hub Pages are perfect to promote your web sites and to share your knowledge.
