Kick Your Boss In The Nuts!
View Comments
November 29th, 2008Goal SettingWhat you say kick my boss in the nuts, yes you can do this with out actually hurting him or her physically. How about you get serious about making money online like some of the super affiliates. Then you buy the best car you can afford something your boss will never be able to buy no matter how long he works at his job. Then after you quit and have had some time away from that evil boss, you somehow bump into him or her in a parking lot in your new super bad ass car.
That my friends can hurt more then a a kick to the nuts. If you hate your job and you hate your boss use this vision as a goal. You need to get up each morning and write down what you are going to do to make money online. Trust me you can kick your boss in the nuts if you focus and try new ideas. There are millions to be made on the Internet, you just need to plant a few seeds and then you will be able to take the harvest. Stay motivated and get on with making money online.

Ubuntu Linux On Mother In Laws Computer
View Comments
November 29th, 2008Free StuffThere is one thing I like and that is FREE STUFF. A few weeks ago my mother in law was given an old computer with Windows 98 on it. Since I am the computer guru in the family, I went over and took a look at this old beast the computer not the mother in law. The computer was fast enough to handle a Linux distro and I thought I would try Ubuntu Linux which is 100% free. This worked out well and the computer worked without a hitch. The nice thing about Linux is that everything you need is include. You get a web browser (Firefox) and Open Office the alternative to Microsoft Office. This is a perfect solution for an older computer and to install on an older persons system who only need the basics. In the past I have saved a few older computers with Linux. Also ran a business form an old computer while I was shopping for a new Apple iMac
. If you have an old computer sitting around why not try to install some sort of Linux on it and get more use out of your old hardware.

Sony Ebook Reader

November 28th, 2008BooksA few posts back I mentioned that Amazon.com does not have the Kindle Ebook reader for sale in Canada. This week I was in the Sony Store in Toronto and found the Sony Ebook reader. They had one for sale earlier this year, but it never picked up in Canada. The new model in the 700 series is much better. The screen looked great and it is a touch screen like the iPhone. The downside is that it costs $399.99 plus tax.
That is a little to expensive for an Ebook reader. The price of books on the Sony site were lower then the last time I checked. If the current model goes down in price then I would very much like to own this device. In the meantime let’s hope Amazon can brig out the Kindle in Canada.

Zen Cart Reviewed

November 27th, 2008Free Stuff, Online Business
If anyone one is looking for a great free ecommerce shopping cart program then try Zen Cart. Many web hosting companies already offer this program for quick install I have it running a few different hosting accounts and it was simple to set up. The price of the software is zero, but you are getting a professional package, I have paid for shopping cart programs and services in the past and nothing came close to Zen Cart. You can offer promo codes place items on sales and it work well with paypal. Since you can use paypal you do not need to set up a merchant account to get started. The first shop I set up was up and running in about 2 hours. Once you figure out the shipping costs and set up the payment getway you are ready to go live and take orders. You also get marketing support, people can sign up for news letters and the side bars display current promotions. There are also many free themes that you can install to get the right look for your store. If you are not a computer person then their might be a longer learning curve, but there is a great user community out there that can answer most questions. Overall I give Zen Cart a 10 out of 10.Tags: Shopping Cart, Zen Cart -
More Money Please

November 26th, 2008Goal SettingNo one said it was going to be easy to make money online. This month has been a little slow due to the economy, but I still managed to make money. The frame of mind is what is most important when things are slow. Since many of my sites are built and are like little sales people running around the Internet making sales, I started to focus on reading. You never know where your next business idea is going to come from. The secret to making money online is really educating yourself and read as much as you can. Sometimes I come across a blog or article and it inspires me to try something new. This has worked well, since many of my money making businesses started this way. If anything that I can share and really drive my readers to strive for it is educate yourself. Never give up and try to learn as much as you can. If you experiment with one idea and it fails there are many more ideas you can try until you get it right.
My true desire for this site is to make as many of you self-employed and enjoying your life. The truth is I do not think human begins are meant to sit in little cubicles making money for others, you need to make money for yourself and decide when you want to go out or work or whatever. There should never be a questions of permission like (I can’t go to the park in the afternoon my BOSS will not give me the time off). If you read this blog then you have the desire to free yourself from a day job. Like Nike Just Do It!

Trying 7 Search pay per click
View Comments
November 26th, 2008Advertising, Google AdwordsA few weeks ago I signed up for ppc with 7 Search it is almost like Google Adwords. The traffic is a little different and you will not get the same results as with Adwords, but you will get real traffic. In that I mean that the traffic that 7 Search sends over is highly related and interested in what you are offering.
The first real test for this ppc program started yesterday, I place my ad and had about 80 clicks in just a few hours. This turned into 7 clicks on my web site direct to products. The clicks so far did not turn into sales, but I will keeping testing for another few days or until I reach my campaign goal of $30.00 if by then there is no sales I will pull the plug and try a new campaign.

Make Money With eBay and Craigslist
View Comments
November 24th, 2008Craigslist, Ebay, Online BusinessThe easiest way that I make money online is by selling items on eBay and Craigslist. The only problem with selling on these two platforms is that you need merchandise to sell. The challenge is where do you source items to sell. There are many web sites that you can find some great deals and that offer free shipping. One site that I have used is FactoryOutletStore.com.
This site has all the top brands and the trick is to look for items on sale or on clearance. If you find a great item check eBay and see if you can resell the item. You might also get top dollar in the local market by listing on Craigslist. Most local customers might have never come across a similar product and you can make money. Look for unique items that sell well.

Google On

November 17th, 2008GoogleThe changes made on this blog today was to optimize for Google. The plugins for WordPress made setting up all my different Google services very easy. Did the same for my other blog and also worked on some of my sites to make sure they were all properly optimized for Google. The sites that I have worked on in the last few weeks have seen big numbers in page views, so I want to make sure all my sites are done by the end of this month. A few sites are very dependent on the Holidays, and will not make many sales after so I need to make sure Google can find them and I am also using PPC on one of the sites.

Kindle Not Yet In Canada Ehh
View Comments
November 16th, 2008BooksThe Amazon.com ebook reader the Kindle: Amazon’s Wireless Reading Device
has still not come out in Canada. The same thing happened with the iPhone. It looks like anytime a tech gadget needs a cell phone company in Canada it is either going to take a long time or cost to much when it does happen. It is funny that being so close to the United States so many tech products do not make it over the border or take to long to arrive. As for the Kindle
I think anyone who is an avid reader will love this device. In a small compact device you can carry thousands of books and download new books anywhere you can get a cell phone signal. The Kindle was also featured on Oprah and she proclaimed it her favorite gadget. Well here is hoping that the good people at Amazon.com can figure out a way to let the poor Canadians buy an ebook reader. As a side note the Sony Portable Reader Digital Book
is available to Canadians, but the books cost as much as the paper edition.

How To Get Rich
View Comments
November 16th, 2008Books, CraigslistThe most recent book I am reading is How to Get Rich: One of the World’s Greatest Entrepreneurs Shares His Secrets
by Felix Dennis. You might not know Mr. Dennis by name, but I am sure you have seen or bought many of his magazines. In his book Mr. Dennis gives his step by step approach to start a business. There are so many great points that you will be glad you picked up this book. It is not only the guidance and knowledge, but the inspiring way that the points are brought to your attention. The magazine company that this self made millionaire created is Dennis Publishing. You might have noticed that name on your Blender magazine or Maxim. Yup Maxim, the man is very rich just on those two magazines. It’s also a fun book to read, every few pages Felix shares a poem of his, as yes his also a poet. You can find this book used for less then $12.00 on Amazon
.
